Our Mission Statement
At Hope House, we offer hope and opportunity to young women through discipleship, counseling, mentoring & education.
Our home is a place where they can live in a community based upon kingdom principles, while receiving a scholarship to continue their education.
Our great hope and prayer is that their lives would be transformed by Christ and that they would become change agents for their families and communities causing Godly transformation in the families of El Salvador.
How we are ‘doing’ our Mission Statement
In a country that has recently ‘won’ the title of most dangerous countries in the world, families are in great turmoil. As a result of this culture of violence, and the pervasive machismo attitude here, El Salvador has become one of the most dangerous countries in the world to be a women.
God has given us a burden for the women and children of this country. Currently, Hope for Families is working on three separate, but, connected projects as we strive to fulfill our mission statement.
– Hope House discipleship/scholarship home for young women
– The Daughter Project Girls Clubs
– “Mas Alla” (Beyond) Teen Discipleship Program
► We offer young women who are caught in the cycle of poverty, abuse and desperation an opportunity for hope for a better future.
► We offer opportunities for education and job skills training to young women who have been traditionally trapped in generational poverty.
► We provide an opportunity to live in a Christ-centered community, and a safe living environment.
► We model a healthy, Christ-centered family.
► We provide counseling for those who have been scarred by abuse, neglect and abandonment with the goal of attaining emotional and spiritual healing.
► We provide workshops for encouraging responsibility, respect, and character growth.
► We offer life skills training, including cleaning, cooking, home management, health and hygiene, money management and budgeting.
► We share the good news of Jesus Christ as the answer to all of life’s questions through one-on-one discipleship and bible studies.
► We focus all our efforts on true transformation through the Holy Spirit, not on religion and legalism.
